Hayate no Gotoku – Chapter 96

Alone Between Heaven and Hell

More in the pursuit of broken Hayate… or rather, he’s better off as a girl?

Brief Summary

While being held hostage, Nagi begins to lecture Kotetsu about how he’s weak at heart. She questioned him, asking if if Hayate were a girl, would he confess again? Before he could answer…

Hayate appeared to the rescue… with bunny ears and all. Kotetsu surrendered Nagi but made his move, inspired by his hostage to confess again.

But Nagi didn’t like that one bit, defeating the wayward butler in a single strike.

At the same time, she cured Hayate of his curse by threatening the spirit.

Though cured of the cross-dressing curse, Hayate still went to the tower to meet with Hinagiku… but they’re alone… in the room together… in the middle of the night…

Impressions

Kotetsu’s confession and marriage proposal didn’t surprise me… but it was still funny reading it. Nagi’s as coveting as always… laying claim on Hayate though her butler’s too dense to read into it. As for the midnight meeting, I hope for something like Full Metal Panic‘s OVA, some silly daydream :)

  1. I seriosly liked the anime than the HG manga. ;_;

  2. Genderbend makes everything awesome, which is why Hayate should remain female, not that it makes him any less hittable if he was male anyway.

  3. Nothing wrong with broken Hayate… until you flip his skirt :p
