The World That Only God Knows – Chapter 16

The Last Day

A very lackluster end to Shiori’s arc…

Brief Summary

Locking the library up, Shiori stalls the opening of the new audio/visual booth and the subsequent destruction of old books. Of course, the other members of the library committee are determined to carry out their event so the library siege begins.

Though unnerved by the commotion outside, Shiori ends up with a big surprise when Keima suddenly found his way inside, sitting on a bookshelf in a FABULOUS pose.

How did he get in? Well, Elsee’s scarves are very handy tools indeed… Gurren Lagann mode ON!!!

Impressions

Blah. For such a good character like Shiori, her end seems… extremely bland. Sure, she found her voice and defended the books at the end… but it happened way too fast. I guess I’m expecting too much development from this series, looking for the more drawn out relationships with all the ups and downs. The initial hype I had is long dead and now, I’m not too sure about following this. I’ll see after another two or three arcs. There should be a stronger plot… right?
