Kimi no Iru Machi – Chapter 10

Declaration of War

From planting rice to riding a bike to a declaration of war…

Brief Summary

Haruto was talking with Takashi about the misunderstanding Nanami made. Even worse was his friend’s deduction that she has no romantic feelings.

While toiling on the rice paddies, he kept thinking about that. When the day came to an end, Haruto realized that Yuzuki was missing, escaping work to do something.

Before he could get too far, Yuzuki appeared before him… crashing onto the dirt path. She had been practicing, trying to learn how to ride a bike.

Offering his help, she gladly took it… thus endangering both of their lives.

Bringing the lesson to an end, Haruto started to lecture her. He thought she wanted to do this to make the misunderstanding go away.

But that wasn’t the case. In fact, it was the complete opposite.

It was a declaration of war… a war to win Haruto’s heart.

Impressions

Ugh… I rage against Yuzuki. I really disliked this chapter since Haruto was just whining. He didn’t try to correct the misunderstanding or make any plans to. All he did was mope around. Granted, Takashi’s words didn’t help but that’s no excuse.

Because of this, Yuzuki was able to take advantage of the situation, making her feelings clear. There wasn’t as much resentment from Haruto, signs that his heart is wavering. No Nanami moments :(

There’s definitely more than what meets the eye. I haven’t forgot about that line a few chapters ago, about how everything would change if he knew why she kissed him. Well, it’s out now… so I’m just waiting for those “changes”. Added to that would be the reason for Nanami’s sad expression right after she promised to help Haruto get closer to Yuzuki. Too many questions… not enough answers.
