Bitter Virgin – Chapter 25

Finally released…

Her disclosure… Aikawa reveals her secret to Izumi, Daisuke’s older sister.

Brief Summary

Yuzu arrives at the Suwa house, intending to be Daisuke’s emotional support. Not getting any response from her calls, she decided to go inside to personally deliver her presents.

Meanwhile, Izumi and Aikawa continue from the previous volume, the shocking confession from the latter. Though she had the opportunity to pass it off as a bad joke, the free-flowing tears from her eyes revealed the truth.

Aikawa continued her confession, revealing the sudden adoption and how she regrets not being able to hold her own child.

Compared to before when she saw the baby as a sickening parasite, she realizes that the boy was a part of her… that she gave up without ever touching once.

Though envious that the other girl had a successful birth, Izumi forgave her and thanked Aikawa for calming her down. Izumi also promised to keep the information a secret from Daisuke, knowing how they like each other.

During that talk, Daisuke was sitting outside on a riverbank, feeling out of place with their girl talk.

All of the sudden, Yuzu showed up and quickly shoved her cake at him. There was no explanation given before she ran off.

While sharing the cake with the other two women, Daisuke silently vowed to keep Aikawa’s secret, understanding how deep of a wound it is for her.

However, the future looks dark. Yuzu had overheard the secret talk. Knowing that Aikawa was pregnant and thinking that Daisuke didn’t know about that, she wondered what she would do with such information… especially when the boy he likes fell for such a girl.

Impressions
Wow… Yuzu seems to be changing sides now since she overheard only part of the conversation. Understandably, she should be concerned since her best friend (and lover interest) is obviously head over heels for her. Not knowing that it was a rape, she would probably start using the information against Aikawa, probably so far as to encourage Kazuki’s madness. Somehow, I have this feeling that the secret about her pregnancies won’t be a secret much longer… I’m envisioning a bully tactic where the rumor would start in school and eventually, Daisuke comes to the rescue and saves her from their scrutiny.

As for Kazuki and how she didn’t appear at all, it’s only a matter of time before that insane witch would show up trying to screw things up again. I seriously hope that Izumi catches her in some indecent act and calls the police. She deserves to be locked in jail and carted off to that “happy place” (psycho ward). Anyways, just my opinion…

But at least the final volume is being scanlated now and… the cover hints of a very happy ending! :)

  1. Finally. Finally we get to see the continuation of this wonderful story.

Also, is it possible to add me to your blogroll?

  2. Solaris rocks for bringing me Bitter Virgin. I’m facing difficulty getting even volume 4 (raws) in Singapore. Overall, chapter 25 is an emotional but comforting chapter. Aikawa and Izumi now know that they are not alone anymore. Touching. *sob*

  3. @Stifler,
Sure thing, was going to ask you but then Otakon 2008 came up and I got lost in all that. By the way, thanks for adding me on yours! :)

    @Hynavian,
Very touching indeed… and it brings out my maternal, loving side… not that it takes away any manliness from me of course!
