WTF

Though there’s no introduction post for this, I might make one later…. but doubtful.

Brief Summary

Though continuing her fight with the “Chainsaw Man”, her time with Yamamato is coming to an end. He’s moving to a new home far away.

When telling her about it, the sappy reaction that he was looking for… didn’t happen.

But before he could push the matter any further, it showed up. The two started the fight, thinking that it would be like normal with Eri and the Chainsaw Man coming to a draw. But instead… there was a shocking change.

Her opponent got stronger, a lot stronger. In the next battle, even Yamamato had to step in to save her.

It only confirmed his suspicions.

For the following fight, Yamamato stepped in again but this time, Eri didn’t attack. She tackled him out of the way to keep him safe. As he sat on the sidelines, he could only think about the wounds covering her body.

After the battle, her wounds got serious enough to make her stumble. Offering his back to her, Eri surprising took it and rode piggy-back.

While walking, Yamamato thought about his future departure and how he would miss her.

Yet, Eri suddenly spoke up and asked for him to stop coming. She was afraid of the possibility of him getting hurt or even worse, dying. Understanding her concerns, Yamamato firmly responds that he’ll be fine and he won’t die.

With her crying, Yamamto teased Eri for her tears. Jumping off, she was mad enough to run away.

Though trying to stop her, a swift kick to the crotch stopped him in his tracks. Playing dead, he waited til she got closer before grabbing her and refusing to let go.

Trying to bring her smile back, Yamamato tried telling a “funny” story.

But it didn’t work…

Impressions

Something must have changed… since I don’t remember Eri looking that cutesy. And that’s not a good thing since it clashes horribly with the more serious and mysterious feel of the plot.

I think the series is winding down since Yamamato’s departure seems to be the final big event. I get the feeling that everything would be resolved before he moves away. However, with his relationship with Eri being in the current state, not to mention the Chainsaw Man still undefeated, there’s only a week for Yamamato to find solutions for everything (if I’m right).

Overall, my liking for the series dropped a bit since the pacing between Eri x Chainsaw Man and Eri x Yamamato seems irregular. But, I’ll withhold by final word until I get the rest of the manga.

  1. I haven’t read this series yet but it reminds me of a show where the character Jason takes a saw and pk people around. >.< Is this series very gory?

  2. Not gory since the Chainsaw Man and Eri keep fighting to a draw each night. Besides the bruises and torn clothes, nothing further than that.

  3. Well now… Photobucket had an objection to some of your pics it seems… How could you post such ecchiness! :P

  4. They were only striped panties!!!

I need to report to WP about how my image uploader isn’t working properly.

  5. Thanks, I caught it after confirming that it’s not too gory. I’m afraid of those blood spilling action flicks; blissmo bunnies are an exception though. (:

The first chapter is shocking! The female lead sitting in a snow storm and waiting for the man with the chain saw. I lol-ed at the part where the protagonist threw the shop lifted packet of meat at the female’s face by accident. It was an epic throw! XD

  6. Oops, wrong target :p

  7. well either way, this manga is epic and had many things that were original, i can see some of wat your saying, and your right, it did wind down a lot, but still had many moment throughout everything
