A pretty dull chapter that’s setting the future up for something big…
From the previous chapter, Haruto “rescued” Yuzuki from walking all the way back home. After she cried after admitting how useless she was without him, the two rode back home.
The trip back was, for the most part, quiet. Despite the questions running through his head, Haruto didn’t ask them.

Back home, the two went on their separate ways. Before falling asleep, Haruto stared at the ceiling as he wondered why Yuzuki wouldn’t ride with Takeshi or Nanami.
Then, the sound of his phone vibrating caught his attention. Picking it up, he realized that it was Yuzuki calling.

Talking for a bit, Haruto asked why she would only ride with him.
Getting a more confusing answer, Haruto was about to end the call when Yuzuki took the initiative and asked the foremost question in his mind…
After much thought, he replied that he wasn’t.
The next day, everything returned to normal…
But everything’s going to change soon…
As previously noted, pretty dull and mostly about Haruto thinking throughout the night. The only interesting tidbit was the call Yuzuki made. Even though she lives in the same house, she chose to such indirect means. While it could be in respect to avoid disturbing other people, I felt that it would have been more appropriate for her character to talk face-to-face with Haruto. Finally, with the last page of the chapter, there’s that cryptic remark about “not being able to see Eba’s smile again”. Nothing abnormal about Yuzuki’s character had been revealed yet so whatever big crisis soon to come would be from her past. Not too surprising since in the author’s other work Suzuka, the main female was traumatized by a tragic event that continuously hindered their romance at the start.
Overall, this chapter just builds up momentum before the next event. While the next chapter also seems to be Yuzuki-centric, I’m still hoping for more Nanami time.
