Spring 2008 Anime OP/ED Reviews: Part 6

Presenting… Kokuun’s one and only… Anime OP/ED Reviews

Pressing onwards! Yet, this will single feature is a toughie. Why? There’s about 6-7 different EDs available and I don’t feel… motivated enough to watch and review them all. So I’m going to pick what I believe to be the general ending and choose from the rest, the one that appeals to me the most.

Kyouran Kazoku Nikki

OP title: Chosai Kenbo Sengen

Really enjoyable. Considering that the show is also fast paced and quite random, the song really hits the mark. Animation-wise, there was some parts that were slacking but it quickly moved on. It focuses on each character as well as their traits (Kyouka -cat girl- being the dominant lead and having horrible cooking skills). Brilliant and not much else I could say.

Rating: 9/10

Primary ED title: Kyouran Senki ~Nichijou no Kamisama~
Artist: Ayumi Fujimura

Just like its OP, random and focusing on the most interesting character, Kyouka. It shows her crazy and cute sides. I didn’t like the song too much since it was too… slow for her character. Nonetheless, pretty decent.

Partial Rating: 7/10

Secondary ED title: Boku wa Koushin Saremashita
Artist: Ryou Hirohashi

This is my favorite ED out of all of them (character-themed ones that is). Hyouka happens to be a killer machine synthesized from the DNA of a past menace. However, he’s then forced into a program that promotes a happy family. He has a young boy voice so the song is really fitting, considering that he’s actually immature in the inside… despite how deadly he could be. Nice since it incorporates his mental age and physical state.

Partial Rating: 7/10

Overall Rating: 7/10

  1. Too bad I don’t watch KKN. Having so many EDs to listen to sounds fun, not to mention being able to sell so many singles at once, hehe.
