The Beginning
More encounters against the Gazelle organization
Brief Summary
Zezu wondered who put the flowers on the grave, noting that the “Eleven Gazelle” is down to a mere six (or maybe five). There’s five bouquets and a tombstone…

Due to Kiri’s existence, the group decided to move ahead with their plan. Besides following the mission given from their boss (who was noted to be a female), there was a new assignment to capture Kiri alive.

Zezu already made plans, having sent a new group of assassins.

Of course, the leader of that new team just had to taunt Kiri, trying to frighten him into surrendering. However… something ruined the mood.

A fart-like smell… that was found to be the bald assassin’s “noble perfume”…
x x x
Before the fight started, Farran reminded Kiri that he won’t protect them… right before smashing an assassin trying to sneak up behind him.

Seeing that action as a threat, the majority of the group was assigned to keep Farran preoccupied. Sui assembled her weapon and had a sadistic grin on her face.

Farran had several last words before the action began, telling Kiri and Elle that they’re ready… and for them to begin their Double Arts.

Impressions
Ok. Now the series will either be creatively good or remarkably bad. It all depends how Kiri and Elle will fight, whether this manga will break from the typical shounen mold that recent chapters had set. I don’t expect the assassins to win since stupidly arrogant bad guys are quick to be defeated. Added to that is the slight humor about his smell…
It’s going to be funny how the battle ends up… since the leader assigned all but himself to fight Farran. I expect more epic craters… though Sui might throw off his tempo a bit. I’m not sure if she’ll fight with Kiri/Elle or Farran… most likely the latter since this is the premiere of Double Arts.
Overall, the chapter doesn’t really do much. It does set the next chapter to be another fight but the results are blatantly obvious. The Gazelle meeting didn’t reveal too much information, only to strongly hint of more attempts to capture Kiri and that some of their colleagues are dead. Still no sign of Andie Frau so I’ll expect Zezu to show up soon… bringing in the Falzen member as a hostage bargaining chip.

It would be interesting to see Elleand Kiri lose at this point; it would remind me of Bamboo blade, where the girls kept losing tournaments at the beginning. But otherwise I’m looking forward to some MAD ACTIONZ next chapter. Sui also looks weirdly hot in the 4th page from the bottom…
Also, the Bangaihen/extra chapter/whatever’s funny as hell ^_^
I don’t think if they capture them, the other members of the Gazelle would be too keen on keeping Elle alive… But then again, it could be a turning point for Farran… and as for Sui, well… she lives in her own special way.
